Internship Housing Opportunities

Summer Housing at Eckerd

Eckerd College students who are planning to complete a local internship this summer may request on-campus through the Academic Internship Fund! If awarded, students will pay only a maintenance fee for housing. 

Program Details

Housing Availability: Tuesday, May 27 - Saturday, July 19

Residence Halls: West Lodge & Sigma (additional halls may be available for a fee) 

Eligibility: Students must participate in a legitimate and rigorous off-campus internship in the Tampa Bay area

How to Apply

1. Review and complete the Academic Internship Fund (AIF) application by Friday, April 11. Internship offers do not need to be finalized in order to request sponsored housing. Please note that requests for monetary support through the AIF are due on Tuesday, March 25. 

2. If awarded sponsored housing, complete the Summer Housing application when it becomes available.

For students not participating in internships or missed the deadline, you may still request housing for a cost. Please see below for Summer 2024 rates and dates, Summer 2025 rates will be posted soon.

Dates: Housing will only be available May 28 - July 20, 2024. Students should make arrangements with their internship site based on these dates. 

Cost: Eckerd offers a reduced rate of $500 for summer internship credit. Students may include these costs as part of Academic Internship Funding by Tuesday, March 25.
