Dismissals

In accordance with Florida laws, employment at Eckerd College is at will. This means that Eckerd College may terminate this relationship at any time.

If it becomes apparent at any time during the probationary period that the employee is not satisfactorily fulfilling job responsibilities, his/her employment will be terminated in accordance with College policies as well as federal and state law.

Procedures for Corrective Action

One or more of the following actions may be taken when a violation related to a position has occurred (in any order):

Written Warning

Terminable Offenses

Employees who commit any of the following offenses may be terminated. This list is not exhaustive:
